Presidential residences: Famous homes of the commanders-in-chief

Considering a stay in the White House can only last so long, presidential residences often say more about the president than their official libraries or museums (especially when the home acts as such). Celebrate Presidents' Day by taking a tour through the public homes of our commanders-in-chief, but please note: Given that the homes of our living presidents (as well as Gerald Ford) are private residences, they were not included on the list.
