Universal Orlando Resort's Epic Universe theme park will bring the iconic Ministry of Magic to life from the "Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts" franchise.
"Developed by the award-winning Universal Creative team and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Themed Entertainment, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic builds upon the global phenomenon that began in 2010 with the debut of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade at Universal Islands of Adventure and continued with the 2014 launch of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley at Universal Studios Florida," Universal explained.
Epic Universe officially opened Thursday, May 22, 2025. It is located at Universal's new south campus, about 15 minutes down the road from Universal Islands of Adventure, Universal Studios Florida and Universal Orlando's CityWalk dining, retail and entertainment complex. This new addition to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter takes parkgoers to 1920s wizarding Paris. Fans of the franchise will recognize elements from the "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" movies.
Beyond the world’s portal, guests will first journey from a Muggle park in Paris into Place Cachée – a hidden, bustling shopping district in wizarding Paris lined with Haussmannian buildings, shops, sidewalk cafés and historic Parisian domes rising in the distance.
"Here, wizards and non-magiques alike will be enamored with the majestic grandeur and enchanting ambiance of the city as they cast dazzling spells throughout the magical streets using interactive wands, encounter fantastic beasts at a traveling circus, and – for the first time ever within the Wizarding World of Harry Potter – travel across countries and time to 1990s London using the Métro-Floo for a thrilling adventure set inside the iconic British Ministry of Magic."

How many rides are in the Ministry of Magic at Universal Orlando in Florida?
There is only one ride in Epic Universe's Ministry of Magic — a dark ride where guests travel by Métro-Floo from 1920s Paris to the 1990s British Ministry of Magic.
Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry takes parkgoers back to when Lord Voldemort was defeated and disgraced Ministry of Magic bureaucrat Dolores Umbridge is about to stand trial for crimes against the wizarding world. However, Umbridge manages to escape, putting riders in a fierce battle involving a pack of Death Eaters and beloved characters Harry, Ron and Hermione.
According to NBC, the queue for the attraction is almost as captivating as the ride, featuring a "gorgeous Fountain of Magical Brethren and nearly 125,000 colorful tiles."
What are the restaurants at Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic at new Universal Orlando theme park Epic Universe?
There are three new eateries in the land, boasting both French and American cuisine.
Café L’air De La Sirène is located on the streets of wizarding Paris, offering French baked goods, sandwiches, plats du jour and desserts. Guests can also enjoy some beloved Butterbeer along with a variety of non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks, including beer, cocktails and French wines.
Le Gobelet Noir is a mysterious, timeworn auberge found within the shadowy corners of Place Cachée. Menu offerings include starters such as soups and salads as well as a variety of entrées and desserts.
For American wizards (and muggles) who miss the taste of home, Bar Moonshine offers exclusive beers, wines and cocktails served amongst U.S. Quidditch team pennants and other items of wizarding Americana.
And, of course, no visit to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter is complete without Butterbeer. Guests can stop by the Bièraubeurre cart during their visit for a mug of the fan-favorite beverage.

Epic Universe will add 14 more interactive wand locations, bringing the new total to 44 across Universal Orlando Resort.
What is Le Cirque Arcanus at Epic Universe in Orlando, Florida?
A live, full-scale theatre experience is located in the heart of the land with Le Cirque Arcanus. This spectacular show features live performers and aerialists, puppetry, special effects and more, according to Universal.
"The show follows Ringmaster Skender, who has stolen Newt Scamander’s suitcase, where Demiguise, Diricawl, Mooncalves and more reside, to try and bring the failing Le Cirque Arcanus back to its former glory. It’s then up to circus employee Gwenlyn to rescue these creatures before they end up in Skender’s greedy hands forever."

Can I buy tickets to Epic Universe in Orlando, Florida? How much are tickets to Epic Universe?
Yes. Guests can purchase single-day admission or multi-day ticket packages to Epic Universe.
Single-day tickets are available for visits starting Sunday, June 1, 2025. These tickets start at $139 and can go up to $199 during peak periods. Annual pass holders can purchase single-day tickets at a discounted price.
May dates are unavailable unless you choose the multi-day ticket packages that were announced last year. The packages all include one or more days at Universal's other parks and a single day admission to Epic Universe.
Universal has also announced other products guests can add onto their admission, including express passes, VIP Tours, photos and costume experiences.
