Las Vegas airport: Passenger numbers jump 6% in September
LAS VEGAS (AP) — The number of passengers flying into and out of Las Vegas grew nearly 6% year-over-year in September to 3.7 million travelers mirroring the pace of visitors to the destination.
McCarran International Airport announced Thursday that passenger traffic increased 5% in the first nine months of 2015. The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority also reported that the number of visitors to the destination rose to 3.5 million.

Hotel occupancy is up 4 percentage points to 89.9% and average daily room rate jumped nearly 9% to $125.85.
The airport reports its largest carrier Southwest Airlines ferried 4% more travelers than a year ago. The airport says traffic from U.S. flights increased 6% to 3.3 million passengers and international travel increased 4% to 307,998 travelers.
