Allegiant adds new routes from Louisville and Columbus, Ohio


Two new routes are set to join the Allegiant Air route map. 

The “ultra low-cost carrier” announced the new routes Thursday, revealing new non-stop service to its bases in Las Vegas and Austin.

From Las Vegas, Allegiant will add year-round service to Louisville starting Nov. 16. From Austin, the company will add year-round service to Ohio's Columbus/Rickenbacker airport starting Feb. 16.

Allegiant offer two flights per week on between each city pair. The Las Vegas-Louisville route will operate on Thursdays and Sundays and will be flown on a mix of MD-80 and Airbus A319 aircraft. The Austin-Columbus flights will fly on Fridays and Mondays and will be on a mix of MD-80 and Airbus A319 jets. 

“We’re so excited to grow again in these two communities,” Lukas Johnson, Allegiant’s senior vice president of commercial, said in a statement. “With the addition of these two new routes, we’ll be able to offer some great low-cost travel options with convenient, non-stop service from the Midwest to Fabulous Las Vegas and Austin - the Live Music Capital of the World.”
