This particular piece of travel gear is most definitely not for those who pack light, but for those who pack serious. Serious as in bringing any sort of workout gear that increases fitness on the road.

Meet Tomatan, the Tomato-Toting Robot that feeds you tomatoes when you need them most — while running down the street. The robot is the brainchild of Japan's Kagome, a company that sells (you guessed it) tomatoes, and hopes to promote its product at the Tokyo Marathon.

Weighing in at 18 pounds, this robot is not light. There is a diet version, "Petit-Tomatan," which weighs only 6 pounds or the equivalent of a larger laptop. Yes, it will weigh you down and take up valuable luggage space. And yes, it will make you look ferociously silly while being a conversation starter with locals. What else are you going to use those two free checked bags for?
