Super cut of SpaceX rocket launches will inspire you

Phallus, Q-tip, pencil, or magic wand—the shape of the SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket is still up for a debate, but there’s no questioning its explosive power as it hurdles upwards into the sky.

SpaceX just compiled a 2-minute super cut of takeoffs — clip after clip of footage fills the screen with smoke, fire, jet streams, and fleeing cattle, all interspersed with audio snippets of air traffic controllers. The collection of launches looks all the more impressive in its high-definition 4K resolution, shown off in occasional touches of slow motion.

Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the soundtrack, which hovers somewhere in the nether regions between Euro-disco pop and the background music at a SoHo fashion boutique. The base that kicks in after the opening 3-2-1 countdown might get money makers shaking were it pumped through a tricked-out speaker system. However, we suggest just muting it and adding your own sound, starting with some Radiohead.
