Reason No. 1 why Japan's airports are great? This beer pouring robot
When you're in an airport, there's very little to do other than slump at your departure gate, quietly judge anyone who's still wearing those sweatpants that say JUICY, or drink. Anyone lucky enough to find themselves waiting for a flight at Kansai International Airport will have the pleasure of dealing with this robot bartender. The All Nippon Airways Star Alliance Gold Lounge has this incredible automated beer dispenser that pretty much guarantees that you're going to get a perfect pint of beer every time.
The machine is sort of like a self-service fountain soda machines but it also holds and tilts the glass to the perfect angle for ensuring that each beer has a photo-worthy head on top. This glorious invention then lowers the glass back into an upright position and dispenses just the right amount of foam on top of each pint of Asahi (so beat that, Royal Caribbean robots).
The beer machines can also be found in the United and American lounges at Narita International Airport in Tokyo, in the ANA lounge at Tokyo's Haneda Airport and scattered throughout various hotels in the country. The perfect pint every single time? I, for one, welcome our new beer-pouring robot overlords.
