You don't expect the guy who played Mini-Me to be your go-to source for breaking news, but here we are. Verne Troyer was at Los Angeles International Airport on Wednesday when the airport's own police officers fired a Taser at a man who reportedly pushed his way through a TSA checkpoint.

According to NBC Los Angeles, 21-year-old Christian James Heinz "was not cooperating" with the TSA officials, who called the police to assist them. In Troyer's video, he can be seen walking away after the officers attempted to handcuff him (and the best parts are the comments in the background, which range from "Tase that dude, come on!" to "It's Verne Troyer!"). A polite Troyer followed Heinz and the cops, recording one officer yelling "Get on the ground, sir! You wanna get Tased? Stop, sir!"

Another video posted on Instagram shows the man on the ground, presumably after the Tasing.

Sgt. Belinda Joseph of the LAX Police Department told CBS Los Angeles, "As he was being taken into custody, a use of force occurred involving a Taser." He was taken to a local hospital for treatment before being charged with trespassing and resisting arrest. Heinz reportedly had a ticket for an Alaska Airlines flight at 8 p.m. on Wednesday night; he was taken into custody around 11 a.m.

Not only did Troyer earn some unexpected reporting credits in the local press, he also scored a souvenir from the incident. Not a bad day, Mini-Me.
