Here's what happens when you pull out the window of an Airbus A320

If you spend enough time sitting on airplanes, you'll be able to find something that doesn't work, whether it's a seatback pocket that droops sadly to one side, an in-flight entertainment screen that offers zero entertainment or just a seat that stubbornly refuses to recline. Or you could accidentally pull your entire window out, like Eduardo Caram did.

Caram doesn't seem to be the Incredible Hulk; from the comments on his YouTube channel, it sounds like the plastic piece just pulled away from the side of the plane when he tried to attach his GoPro to it. Caram says he alerted the crew onboard the Airbus A320, but they did not seem concerned, telling him that the portion of the window that he held in his hands was just a "protection" for the actual window of the plane. Caram's flight – which appeared to be on the tarmac at the time – took off as scheduled.

"It's footage that sends a rush of panic down the spine of every airline passenger," the Metro gasped after watching Caram's video. Um, no, it's not. A much scarier incident happened last May on a flight from Orlando to Manchester, England, when passenger Nicholas Whittaker punched the window so hard that he cracked it, after arguing with the flight crew at 35,000 feet. After seeing what Caram filmed, though, it would appear that maybe Whittaker actually broke the plastic covering, not the actual window.

Either way, I might stick to aisle seats from now on.
