HotelTonight expands to Australia, the Bahamas, the Dominican Republic, with more countries to come

Because there's nothing like procrastinating and coming out on top, you now can book last-minute, discounted hotel rooms with HotelTonight's app in Australia, the Bahamas and the Dominican Republic.

HotelTonight, whose name is something of a misnomer since it broadened in September 2014 to allow hopeful guests to snag rooms up to seven days in advance (not just tonight), has been operating in beta in Australia for the past month. On Monday the company announced the opening of a new office in Sydney and that it had expanded its hotel offerings in Sydney and Melbourne and would continue to add more Aussie cities to the roster.

The company also threw two more countries into the announcement, adding that it's now also hooked up with hotels in the Bahamas and the Dominican Republic. Before this its only representation in the Caribbean was Puerto Rico, which it launched in 2013. The company says it plans to roll out more Caribbean destinations in the coming months.

HotelTonight currently operates in more than 30 countries, including the noteworthy addition to its portfolio earlier this year of Russia. According to the company's CEO, HotelTonight has its sights set on growing in the Asia/Pacific region, too, and the new office in Australia will support that.
