Watch a day in the life of the world's busiest airport in this incredible 360-degree time-lapse

Dubai International Airport currently holds the title of the World's Busiest International Airport, after 70.5 million passengers arrived and departed from its three terminals in 2014. Dubai 360, the team of videographers who previously put together an interactive 360-degree tour of Dubai, attempted to show a typical day at the airport in a time-lapse video, and it makes for incredible – and borderline hypnotic – viewing. The video itself is almost as impressive as the estimated 1,000 flights that were captured in the footage; if you watch it in full screen or on YouTube, you can change the view to see the airport and its runways in all 360 degrees.

According to YouTube comments from the video creators, it was shot in just over 24 hours, from before sunset on the first day until just after the sunset on the second. Four cameras each took one shot every five seconds during that period, adding up to roughly 17,000 shots per camera. The video is in jaw-dropping 8K (4320p) resolution, which means that you probably don't even have a computer screen that can accommodate every single detail (and it also means that this sucker might be slow to load). Dubai 360 says that this is the first 360-degree 8K interactive video to hit the web. If there was a world airport that deserved to be captured with that kind of excessiveness and attention to detail, it's Dubai.
