Book a select IHG property in a dozen countries for 5,000 points

IHG is offering its loyalty program members an opportunity to book rooms across the globe for as few as 5,000 rewards points from July 27 through October 31.

Additionally, the summer promo is still good trough July 31. Of course, if you're traveling in America, that's only if you happen to be visiting Sparta, Illinois; Vicksburg, Mississippi; Plymouth, North Carolina; or one of a few dozen Holiday Inn locations around the U.S. A maximum of two nights is allowed.

However, the international options are where things get interesting. You can book in about a dozen countries in Europe, Latin America, and Asia, including cities like Cordoba, Argentina; Morelia, Mexico; and in Foligno, Italy (one of my favorite regions in the country).
