Vietnamese celeb allegedly lets kid pee in a plane's barf bag, internet debate ensues
Kids: they just want to pee everywhere...which is why they have things like diapers and, oh, parents who are trusted by society to control these little squirt bombs so we don't have to go stepping around puddles of their urine. This system works, most of the time — except on those occasions when it fails epically.
That was the case on a recent Vietnam Airlines flight, where not just any ordinary citizen, but a well-known Vietnamese singer allowed her son to pee in a barf bag rather than making him schlep to the lavatory like the rest of us, a Southeast Asian aviation blog VNAFlyer recounts.
As you'd predict, pee splashed all over the brand-new plane's as-yet-unsullied upholstery, and it was generally not a pretty scene — especially when the singer, who was later identified as Le Quyen, allegedly pretended not to hear the flight attendant who confronted her about it.
As you'd also predict, a fellow passenger snapped some photos of the incident and posted them to Facebook, where apparently (and now here's the most incredible part of the whole incident) debate ensued about whether this was an okay thing for Quyen to have allowed her child to do. I can't read Vietnamese to look more into this, but what's there to know? Peeing anywhere on a plane other than the bathroom is never okay, no matter who you are. Right, Gerard Depardieu?
