Watch a (Labor) Day in the life of one of America's busiest airports

The Associated Press is preparing passengers for holiday travel crowds at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport this Labor Day with a fun, fact-filled time-lapse video. So check your grumblings along with your baggage, because there is A LOT going on at DFW on a daily basis – not just during the last long weekend of what has been a record-breaking summer for air travel.

For instance, the airport's footprint covers 17,207 acres, which is bigger than the island of Manhattan! More than 170,000 passengers pass through DFW on a daily basis, and that's not including the 60,000 employees that keep the airport buzzing along.

So try to relax this weekend as you slowly inch your way through security lines, Starbucks lines and boarding lines. Your airport is working hard for you!
