Each Virgin flight out of Dallas Love Field now comes with a free Uber ride
Booking a Virgin America flight out of Dallas Love Field now comes with an added bonus, and no, I don't mean the that's so Dallasairport valet parking. Through a partnership with Uber, Rocketmiles and ScoreBig, Virgin is now offering passengers a $20 ride to the airport with the on demand car-hailing service.
A Friday Night Flights concert series is the tent pole of the promotion, in which Virgin America destination cities including San Francisco, Austin and Washington D.C. host acts like Zedd, AC/DC and the Foo Fighters each weekend through October 11.
Elevate members who book a Virgin America flight through Dallas Love Field before October 12 will receive a $20 Uber credit to be used before March 2, 2016. First-time Uber users will score an additional 20 bucks to boot.
Temporary team-ups like this have become an interesting trend between the big boys of travel and tech this year. Virgin Hotels began offering guests rides around town in a Tesla at their Chicago location, and Uber, for its part, has offered deeper integration with companies like Hilton and Starwood.
DAL's free Uber rides are limited to the first 10,000 passengers booking flights through Love Field, so don't dilly dally in booking that trip to Texas.
