These luxury hotels offer opulent amenities on a budget

Luxury travel isn't always just for the uber rich and those willing to refinance their homes. In fact, for under $200 a night, the following hotels offer road warriors the chance to drift off to sleep in high thread count sheets, dip into private Jacuzzis, rinse off in Vitamin C showers (ya, that's a thing) and sip French wine with the elite.

1.  Leeu House (Franschhoek, South Africa): For those who like boozy hotel perks, this 5-star property in the Franschhoek wine region features a cellar showcasing 100 different wines, as well as complimentary offerings like house wines and local spirits, a mini bar, and tastings of Mullineux & Leeu Family Wines. When the affiliated Leeu Estates, a working wine farm with spa, opens in 2016, complimentary shuttles will bring guests over (it's a 5-minute drive). At Leeu House, 12 individually-designed rooms showcase custom furniture and decor, 300-thread count satin sheets, private courtyards, terrace courtyards or balconies, and radiant floor heating in bathrooms. Starting rate: $175/night (opening December 1, 2015).

2. La Residence Hotel & Spa (Hue, Vietnam). The 1930s mansion features sits on 5-acres in front of the Perfume River, with views of the Imperial City across. A saltwater pool, tropical courtyard, spa with treatment and relaxation rooms as well as a Jacuzzi and herbal sauna, Gatsby-era bar and cultural experiences like Hue-centric cooking classes and Ancient Vietnamese Cupping Therapy. Starting rate: $150/night.

3. Las Hadas Golf Resort & Marina, Manzanillo (Manzanillo, Mexico). This Arabian-style resort with its decorative tiled work, domes and lancet arches, sits on the Mexican Riviera — a bit off the beaten path, which helps lower price — with 232 rooms showcasing white marble flooring, in-room Jacuzzis or private pools and private terraces or balconies. If you have a little extra cash, you can upgrade to the Bo Derek’s penthouse-style room from the movie 10 ($515+ per night) and sleep under a grand gold-domed ceiling. Onsite, make use of an 18-hole championship golf course, 70-slip marina, private beach, tennis courts and four restaurants. Starting rate: $96/night including breakfast.

4. Regent Phuket Cape Panwa (Phuket, Thailand). If it's a budget-friendly 5-star resort equipped with private pool villas, bay views, sundecks and 24/7 butler service, this property is for you. Bonus: the complimentary mini bar is one of the best hotel perks out there, as is the nightly complimentary cocktail. Starting rate: $100/night (though the pool villas start at $260).

5. Chateau Heralec (Herálec, Czech Republic). This 5-star property is actually a 17th-century castle within English-style gardens, located about an hour from Prague. Standout features include Champagne and a rose at check-in, Spa by L'OCCITANE offering everything from body treatments to herbal saunas, a standout Bordeaux wine collection, a soothing and silent Silencarium, fitness center, golf simulator and, if you're not feeling the whole public airplane thing, a helicopter landing pad. Starting rate: $168/night.

6. Hotel Croydon (Miami Beach, Florida). Picture guest rooms with cooling gel memory foam beds, C.O. Bigelow bath products, 700-thread count sheets, and basket woven terry/cotton blend robes, along with an outdoor pool, rooftop sundeck (where there's free yoga on Saturday mornings), holistic massage services, and a gym with boxing and strength training classes. Starting rate: $110/night.

7.  The Outlook Lodge (Green Mountain Falls, Colorado). This rustic luxe accommodation is home to a 33-piece multi-million dollar art collection, onsite library, wrap-around porch with firepit, and six individually designed guest rooms with Malin + Goetz bath products, bay windows looking out over Pike National Forest, sophisticated mid-century furnishings, and pieces from the property's multimillion dollar art collection. The hands-off service — there's no front desk or formal check-in, as keys are waiting in a lock box — means lower rates. Starting rate: $119/night.

8. The Break (Narragansett, Rhode Island). All Lark Hotels are 4-star properties, though The Break may be the most posh. The property features an outdoor heated pool and hot tub, rooftop lounge with ocean views, a fitness center, spa and salon, and uber spacious suites with waffled kimono robes, retro 70s vibe and tech amenities like iPads, iPod docks and white noise machines. Starting rate: $159/night. For a bit more savings, Lark Hotels' 21 Broad in Nantucket, Massachusetts ($139/night) features smaller rooms but good-for-your-skin Vitamin C showers.
