Flight attendant allegedly falls asleep while making in-flight announcement

This man clearly needed a nap. Or something.

And so he took one while making an announcement on Southwest Airlines flight 464 from Birmingham to Dallas. Timing is everything, I guess. And so is video proof of narcolepsy or chronic fatigue or maybe something else.

According to Yahoo Travel, passenger Samir Nasr noticed the attendant seemed a bit sleepy and slurry. So he took a video and posted it on the YouTube. In a statement, a Southwest official said that the flight attendant's alleged strange behavior may have been due to a "new medication":

"Due to a concern raised by a customer, we had supervisors meet flight 464 upon arrival into Dallas from Birmingham to assess a flight attendant onboard," said the statement. "Although the Captain onboard the flight and supervisors on the ground did not witness or detect any unusual behavior, the employee acknowledged a potential reaction to new medication prescribed by his physician.”

Apparently the airline removed the attendant from duty for the rest of the day.
