You can now order a private jet to Cuba from your smartphone

Travel rules to Cuba may have relaxed, but we still can't take commercial flights to everyone's most-desired new travel destination. While we wait for a short Delta flight from Miami to become a reality, on-demand private jet charter operator Victor has given us the option to book a private jet from one of 19 U.S. cities to Cuba at the touch of our smartphones screens.

These bespoke private flights are not only about transportation. They also include tourism-focused itineraries that can be adjusted to one's own comfort level and interests.

The company, which launches flights to Cuba on Oct. 5, is working with federally approved tour operator Cuba Educational Travel to organize educational itineraries and visitor exchanges to ensure all fliers comply with one of the 12 general licenses.

Booking travel to Cuba, especially on the luxury side of the equation, is not always easy for Americans, and this new feature is meant to ease the experience for private flights and high-end accommodations once there. "Easing the experience" will not be easy on the wallet though; a four-day, private jet trip costs around $40,000 for a Gulfstream IV (or comparable plane, based upon availability). The good thing is that the price is all-inclusive for up to eight people (meals, ground transportation, and accommodations).
