Forget airline pilot wings! You can now collect these airport trading cards instead
Hold onto your pilot's hat, because we've got some exciting news for you! If you haven't begun yet, you can now start collecting airport trading cards. And what's even more exciting is that they are free. Airports Council International North America started the concept in 2014, and the number of available cards has now grown to feature more than 60 airports.
Avid collectors can visit airport information desks at participating airports to ask for one of the North American Airport collector series trading cards, which feature statistics about the facility and recognizable images from that specific airport.
And if by some chance you are so fierce a road warrior that you've collected a card from all 60 participating airports, some airports have released a second card to keep collectors on their toes. Second edition cards typically mark a special occasion, like Cleveland Hopkins International Airport's 90th anniversary.
While these cards may not have you scrambling to take out-of-the-way flights anytime soon, they do make a fun additional pursuit for the avid road warrior, especially since you cannot buy the cards online.Or even better, they make a great gift for a road warrior's children interested in learning about geography.
