Private meeting rooms in world-class hotels are just a swipe away with this app

Airbnb has one unintended downfall for many business travelers who now choose to stay in a home over a hotel room: a lack of accessible conference and meeting room space. Not everyone's extra bedroom comes equipped with a 10-person conference table, after all. Thankfully, one startup is taking a crack at this problem.

Bizly's has a rotating tagline that always begins with "INSTANT":  Board meetings, deal-closer, client pitch, etc. It's easy to see why. The company's app allows users to book private meeting space at some of the world's best hotels with just the swipe of a finger. The benefit for travelers, freelancers and other remote workers is obvious, but the participating hotels win big, too. A partnership with Bizly allows otherwise vacant inventory to generate revenue, with minimal impact on day-to-day operations.

And while companies like Hotel Tonight promise to help hotels sell off unused inventory at a discounted rate, Bizly wades into entirely different waters within the same four walls. Far more often than not, the conference rooms and private business centers built by hotels go unused. The most action some private meeting rooms see on a daily basis is just the endless flip-flopping of guests taking a dip in the hotel pool which happens to share the same hallway. It isn't hard to imagine Bizly providing more usage of these spaces than the hotel's own organic guest list.

For now, the newly launched app is only available in New York City, but if Bizly can make it off the runway, it's not hard to imagine this app being a welcome addition to many a traveler, coworker, or location independent professional's repertoire.
