Donald Trump stays at Holiday Inn Express, says he 'actually enjoyed it'
Donald Trump may not have any political experience, but he did stay at a Holiday Inn Express the other night. The New York Times reports that the Republican presidential candidate stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Sioux Center, Iowa last Friday night as he and his hair made a pair of campaign stops in the state. Trump told the Times:
"Good mattress, staff was great, good mattress, good everything. It’s different and it’s certainly not Mar-a-Lago [but] it’s very nice."
Well no, it's not Mar-a-Lago, Trump's lavish Florida estate, which he has described as "the greatest and most important place in Palm Beach." But the Holiday Inn Express does have a 4 1/2 star rating on TripAdvisor and it's the No. 2 hotel in Sioux Center. Then again, according to TripAdvisor, there are only two hotels in Sioux Center; the Econo Lodge is ranked just above the Holiday Inn.
There's no word whether Trump took advantage of the hotel's business center, on-site fax machine or its complimentary breakfast, but he seemed pleased with his accommodations all the same. "I actually enjoyed it," he said. "It was good, it was clean." If only we could say the same thing about this election season.
