Thursday's forecast: Frost all the way to the South

Almost the entire U.S. will see a clear and dry day on Thursday, with the main exceptions being around the Great Lakes and in far southern Florida.
Lake-effect snow and rain will make for a dreary day around the Great Lakes. Most of the snow is expected in northern Michigan and western New York State. Rain showers are likely elsewhere.
The northeastern portion of the country will remain much cooler than average on Thursday, with high temperatures mainly in the 40s and 50s. The World Series game in Boston will again be played under brisk and cold conditions.
Showers are also possible in portions of South Florida during the day.
Most of the western and southern U.S. will enjoy another dry and warm fall day, with pleasant temperatures in the 70s and 80s.
