Wednesday's forecast: Weather outside is frightful

After a busy stretch of wintry weather, most of the nation gets a break from the storminess on Wednesday, though temperatures will remain cold across almost the entire country.
The one snowy area will be around the Great Lakes, where heavy lake-effect snow is possible. The heaviest snow will occur in Upstate New York downwind of Lakes Erie and Ontario, though snow is also likely in portions of Michigan.
Temperatures will be colder than average almost from coast to coast. As it has been for the past several days, Florida will remain the one warm spot, with temperatures remaining in the 70s and 80s.
