South: The storm system that hit the mid-South on Monday will continue to crawl east on Tuesday, bringing heavy rain and the threat for severe weather and flash floods to the Southeast. Atlanta will likely see a wet and stormy day.

West: The Pacific Northwest will see rain Tuesday, all the way from Washington state to northern California. The rest of the western half of the country will be clear and nice.

Midwest: Cool and showery weather is expected around the Great Lakes and upper Mississippi Valley.
