Wednesday's forecast: Nice in Midwest, Northeast

The Southeast will continue to see hot conditions Wednesday while pleasant weather spreads across the north-central U.S. and Northeast.
South: Heat, humidity and a few thunderstorms will continue the summerlike feel in the southeastern U.S. Some of the heaviest rain will be in southern Missouri and in Arkansas. Texas will be very hot and dry.
Midwest, Northeast: These regions will get a nice break from the recent scorching heat and humidity. Temperatures will mainly be in the 70s and 80s with low humidity.
West: Some scattered afternoon thunderstorms are likely in the western mountains. After some morning fog most of California will see sunshine.
