More monsoon storms could lead to flash flooding in the Southwest while a stalled front soaks Florida and the Southeast coast.

West: Monsoon thunderstorms will pelt portions of the Southwest and southern Rockies on Wednesday. Flash floods are possible in Arizona, New Mexico, Utah and Colorado. The rest of the West will be clear and very warm, including the Northwest, where fire danger remains high.

East: Coastal sections of the Southeast and most of Florida will see scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms due to a stalled front draped across the region. Other than some cool showers in northern New England and northern New York State, the rest of the East will be clear and mild.

Central U.S.: Most of the upper Midwest and Great Lakes states will be delightfully cool and clear on Wednesday. The central and southern Plains will stay blazing hot.
