Thursday's forecast: Wet Southwest, Upper Midwest

Mostly nice weather is forecast across the nation on Thursday, with some trouble spots in the Southwest and Upper Midwest.
West: Heavy rain and thunderstorms will again plague New Mexico and western Texas on Thursday. Some flash flooding is again possible. A few light showers are also likely in the Pacific Northwest and northern Rockies.
Central U.S.: Showers and thunderstorms will rattle portions of the Upper Midwest and Great Lakes region on Thursday, with the heaviest precipitation likely in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan.
East: Other than some light showers in south Florida, most of the eastern third of the country will be clear and dry on Thursday.
