Wednesday's forecast: Snow, severe storms central U.S.

A powerful November storm will bring blizzard conditions to portions of the Rockies and Plains and severe thunderstorms to the mid-Mississippi Valley.
Central U.S.: Blizzard conditions are possible in parts of Colorado, Nebraska and Kansas on Wednesday, making travel treacherous. Farther to the east, severe thunderstorms, and potentially some tornadoes, will rattle parts of Iowa, Missouri, and Illinois.
West: Rain is likely for the Pacific Northwest coast while snow is forecast for the Cascades and northern Rockies.
East: Showers will keep the Northeast and New England dreary, while most of the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast enjoys clear skies and mild temperatures.
