Wednesday's forecast: Stormy, rainy Southeast
Heavy rain and severe storms will soak the Southeast while a chilly, raw day is on tap for much of the Upper Midwest.

South: Severe thunderstorms are likely in the Southeast on Wednesday, especially along the Gulf Coast from Louisiana to the Florida Panhandle. Heavy rain will also drench portions of the Deep South and Mid-Atlantic.
Central U.S.: A windy, chilly and raw Wednesday is on tap for the northern Plains and the Upper Midwest. Light snow will fly across much of the High Plains and northern Mississippi Valley.
West: The western U.S. will feature rain and snow in the Northwest and northern Rockies and dry, mild weather in the Southwest and California.
