Monday forecast: Chill hits Midwest, eastern U.S.
The coldest air since the spring will hit the Midwest and the eastern United States Monday as Thanksgiving week kicks off.
Arctic air is expected to funnel from the Midwest to the East. In the Northeast, Monday is expected to be the the coldest day this week.
In the Pacific Northwest, rain, snow and colder weather are expected to arrive in the afternoon. Snow will cover the Cascades, while most of the precipitation in Seattle and Portland, Ore., is expected to be rain.
Following a threat of frost Sunday night, temperatures are expected to reach the 40s in parts of the mid-Atlantic and the 50s in the South and the Florida panhandle.
