Yet another storm will wallop the Pacific Northwest on Friday while cooler air spreads across the eastern seaboard.

West: Heavy rain will pour down in western Oregon, western Washington and northern California on Friday. Oregon should see the heaviest rain, where flooding is possible. Heavy snow will pelt the Cascades and northern Rockies. The Southwest will be clear and mild.

East: Cooler air more typical of December will finally overspread most of the East Coast on Friday as high temperatures stay in the 40s and 50s for much of the region. But clouds, showers and thunderstorms will soak Florida.

Central U.S.: Mostly sunny skies will make for a pleasant day across the central U.S. on Friday.
