Friday's forecast: Spring snow for Northeast
The national weather forecast for Friday, April 8th calls for snow in the Northeast, chilly weather in the Plains and rain along the West Coast and in the Southwest.
A wet, snowy Friday is forecast for the northeastern U.S. as a separate system brings rain into the Southwest.
East, Midwest: Rain will fall throughout much of the Midwest, eastern Great Lakes, Mid-South, Mid-Atlantic and Northeast on Friday. Snow will fly in the Great Lakes and interior Northeast. Temperatures will be in the cool 30s and 40s in the Midwest and Northeast.
West: Scattered showers and thunderstorms will soak most of the Southwest and southern California on Friday.
