Thursday's forecast: Rainy coasts, nice central U.S.

Rain and clouds will continue to bring dreary weather Thursday to both East and West Coasts while the central U.S. enjoys mostly clear skies and mild temperatures.
West: The Mountain West and Northwest will see afternoon showers and thunderstorms while the Southwest stays mostly clear and warm.
Central U.S.: Nearly the entire central U.S., including most of the Plains and Midwest, will be sunny and dry Thursday. High temperatures will soar into the 80s from the Dakotas to Texas.
East: More clouds and rain will bring a dreary day to the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast on Thursday. The heaviest rain is likely in New England, the Mid-Atlantic and southern Florida.
