Tuesday's forecast: More snow in the Rockies
The national weather forecast for Tuesday, May 10th calls for more snow in the Rockies and thunderstorms in the Mississippi River Valley, Midwest and near the Great Lakes.
More storms are forecast for the central and eastern U.S. Tuesday while sunny skies rule the West.
East: While clear skies are forecast for the Southeast and Northeast, rain and clouds will again be the story in the Mid-Atlantic states.
Central U.S.: A few severe thunderstorms could rattle portions of the middle Mississippi Valley to the Ohio Valley Tuesday.
West: The northern Rockies will see some rain and snow. The rest of the West will see clear skies and mild to warm temperatures.

Weather history for May 10: In 1966 in Illinois, Bloomington fell to 21 degrees, the state's record low May temperature. In 2008, a tornado outbreak hit the Southern Plains and southern Mississippi Valley, killing 20 people.
