Wednesday's forecast: More rain, floods South

Sodden Texas will see another rainy day Wednesday, potentially leading to flooding, while high heat cranks up in the West.

Central U.S.: More showers and thunderstorms will pelt much of Texas on Wednesday, where flooding is again possible. The heaviest rain is forecast in eastern Texas. Portions of the upper Midwest and Great Lakes will also see showers and storms.

West: Blistering heat will be the story in the Southwest on Wednesday as high temperatures soar over the century mark in parts of Arizona, California and Nevada.

East: The remnants of Tropical Storm Bonnie are forecast to soak eastern portions of the Carolinas on Wednesday.
