Thursday's forecast: Wet Southeast, Plains, Rockies

More rain and thunderstorms are predicted to soak much of the Southeast, Plains and Rockies on Thursday.
South: Afternoon showers and thunderstorms are forecast in the Southeast Thursday. Some of the storms could produce very heavy rain.
West: Much of the Rocky Mountains and into Arizona and Nevada will see scattered storms and showers. The West Coast will be very warm and dry, with afternoon temperatures some 5 to 10 degrees above average.
Central U.S.: Rain and thunderstorms are forecast in the northern Plains, Midwest and Upper Great Lakes Thursday.
