Thursday's forecast: Front brings showers to East

A cold front will bring showers to the East on Thursday, which will bring an end to the recent warm spell.

East: The Ohio Valley, New England and mid-Atlantic will see showers on Thursday as a slow-moving cold front slides toward the eastern seaboard. Temperatures will  be 10 to 20 degrees above average across much of the eastern U.S. on Thursday.

West: Most of the western U.S. will be clear and dry on Thursday. Late-day showers are likely in Washington state.

Southern Plains: Afternoon showers and storms will soak portions of Texas on Thursday.
