Top reader photos: People's Climate March in NYC
Protesters brought attention to global warming and its related issues on Sept. 21, when they took to the streets in the People's Climate March in New York City and elsewhere. Your Take contributors Victor Mirontschuk and Laurie Laturell were in the middle of the action in New York and shared photos of the event with Your Take.
More than 300,000 people attended the march, many with signs.
Some in attendance wore costumes to express their views.
Others took a different approach and wore pins.
Laurie Laturell says she was moved by the diversity of the people who attended and the youthful faces of the marchers.
News reports said it was the largest climate-change demonstration in history.
