Road rules don't apply in Wyoming -- at least for these bison.

While cruising on the roads in Yellowstone National Park, Your Take contributor Kim Logan says the only reason she captured this shot is because she keeps her Canon Powershot ELPH 310 HS on hand in anticipation of these rare moments.

When she saw the beastly creatures venturing across the road, she slowed down and unrolled her window to spontaneously snap this photo.

"I made sure to use the zoom to capture greater detail," Logan says. "I was pleasantly surprised by the framing of this shot, considering I wasn't looking through the viewfinder when I took it."

In order to increase and enhance the contrast of the image, Logan chose to change the photo from color to black and white. She used iPhoto to edit the image.
