After receiving lots of love from Your Take, contributor Marty Joyner is now addicted to photography.

Joyner carries her Canon Rebel T5i everywhere, as an extension of herself, and for this particular photo of the sunrise at Nags Head, N.C., she couldn't pass up the opportunity to photograph the morning.

"I chose to shoot at Jennette's Pier because it's part of the North Carolina Aquariums, and I watched it being rebuilt after Hurricane Isabel destroyed the original pier," Joyner says. "It's a special place."

Joyner tweaked the photo in Adobe Lightroom mobile to brighten up the dark and shaded areas. To keep learning, Joyner says she takes lots of photos just for practice and searches tips before she ventures out into the field.
