Your Take contributor Santha Kumar enjoys all that nature has to offer.
"It was sheer luck that the mist and fog swept through the meadows," he said.
Kumar has been working on getting the perfect Crepuscular ray shot for a while.
He captured this shot in Mission Peak Regional Park in Fremont, Calif., using a Nikon 7000 with a 18-200 mm lens. He edited this photo by adjusting the contrast and sharpening it.
Kumar said he enjoys, "the ability to visualize and capture the pristine beauty that nature has to offer."
Photography and hiking are hobbies for Kumar. He recalls starting off with a borrowed point-and-shoot camera from a friend. From then on, his hobby took off.
Kumar said seeing the Crepuscular rays was a mesmerizing experience.
"Being there at the right time was the most difficult part," he said.
