Do you dare?

On a recent trip, contributor Christine Dorfer headed to the Big Four Ice Caves in Granite Falls, Wash., because she and her husband wanted to see the beauty of the caves for themselves.

"My fiancé and I love the outdoors and spend most of our time going outside and hiking," Dorfer says. "This (trip) sounded spectacular, and it was."

As Dorfer entered the cave, she quickly snapped photos with her Nikon DSLR camera for less than a minute because of the risk the caves present for travelers.

"Huge chunks of ice can come down on you any second," Dorfer says. "My heart was racing."

Despite how terrifying the adventure was, Dorfer still managed to get this get shot and others that you can see at her contributor profile.
