Darren Sharper Sentenced to 18 Years in Prison

Former NFL player Darren Sharper was sentenced to 18 years in prison Thursday. Sharper was convicted of drugging and raping multiple women across four different states. Sharper pleaded guilty or no contest to various charges related tot he crimes in Louisiana, California, Arizona, and Nevada. Prosecutors sought a nine year sentence, but judge Jane Triche Milazzo found that term to be too lenient. Sharper was chosen for five pro-bowls in his career and also served as an analyst for the NFL network.
