Damage Surveyed in Panama City Beach Following Possible Tornado

Storm debris was strewn across parts of Panama City, Florida, on Tuesday, January 9, after a possible tornado tore through the city, local media reported. On Tuesday, the National Weather Service issued multiple tornado warnings and confirmed at least one tornado in nearby Freeport. A tornado debris signature was observed by radar near Panama City, they said. Footage posted to Facebook shows detritus strewn across part of the town on Tuesday morning. The Bay County Sheriff’s Office urged people to stay off the roads as officials responded to emergency calls in the area.
