Missouri Police Find Squirrel After Responding to Home Intrusion Alarm
Police responding to an intrusion alarm at a home in Liberty, Missouri, in late January encountered a quick and squirrelly home invader who made one officer cackle with surprise. The Liberty, Missouri Police Department released this footage, writing in the caption that the video was recorded on January 27, when officers were dispatched to a local residence after noises were heard coming from inside a home. The video shows bodycam footage from inside a house. An officer states that they’re going to start “clearing room by room,” shortly after which he announces that the intruder is a squirrel. He enters the doorway of the room where the speedy rodent is, and it zips toward him. A second angle, captured by another body camera, shows how much the spunky critter startled the officer. The video ends with a ‘wanted’ poster of the squirrel, warning to “approach with extreme caution.” Credit: Liberty, Missouri Police Department via Storyful
