Slow-Motion Video Captures Serene Snowfall in Truckee
A winter weather advisory was in effect for upper elevations of northeastern California on Monday, November 11, with as much as 8 inches of snow expected to accumulate, the National Weather Service (NWS) said. Slow-motion footage taken by Neil Lareau shows big snowflakes coming down in Truckee on Monday. The NWS said areas above 6,500 feet could expect accumulations between 2 and 8 inches, with winds gusting as high as 45 mph, through Monday night. “Plan on slippery road conditions. Snow covered roads, chain controls and travel delays are possible,” the NWS warned. “The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday evening commute. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.” Credit: Neil Lareau via Storyful
