Active California wildfire burns over 1,000 acres

Fire officials said firefighters were battling a 1,200+ acre brush fire fanned by gusty winds that began Friday in Solimar Beach, California. As winds died down and firefighters made progress, roads were reopened and an evacuation order was lifted.
