Politicians who have plagiarized

Melania Trump is certainly not the first in politics to be accused of plagiarizing a speech. In 1988 Vice President Joe Biden was running for president and gave a speech that mimicked a speech that British Labour Party Neil Kinnock delivered just four months prior. Biden was forced to withdraw from the presidential race after he was exposed. Senator Rand Paul has also been accused of plagiarism several times, both for speeches and his book. Even President Obama was accused in 2008 by Hillary Clinton's campaign of lifting words from Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick. President Obama admitted to using some of Deval's words, saying, "Deval and I do trade ideas all the time, and you know he's occasionally used lines of mine. As I said before, I really don't think this is too big of a deal."
