Kurds launch offensive to retake ISIS-held Sinjar

Iraqi Kurdish forces launched an assault against Islamic State militants in Northern Iraq on Thursday. The Kurds are attempting to retake the strategic town of Sinjar. The US is backing the offensive. (Nov. 12)
