Japan has set a date for Emperor Akihito's abdication

Japan's Emperor Akihito will abdicate from the “Chrysanthemum Throne” on April 30, 2019, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe announced Friday, becoming the first emperor to do so in 200 years.
